Copenhagen Jazz Festival
The Copenhagen Jazz Festival (CJF) is one of the great musical celebrations ofCopenhagen’s cultural calendar, taking place each year in early July. Shifting freelyfrom happy New Orleans jazz to cutting-edge jazz-electronica, the 10-day-long CJFoffers nearly 100 concerts daily, taking place just about anywhere; from small dusty venues to parks, pedestrian areas, boats or jazz-institutions, featuring anything from local hard-core experimentalists to international legends. The 2006 edition comprised850 concerts, attended by 240.000 people. The festival began in 1979.
 
Danish Center for Culture and Development
The Danish Center for Culture and Development works to advance cultural collaboration between Denmark and developing countries and to strengthen the cultural dimension in developing cooperation. A key activity has been the “Images” festivals which present art and culture from developing countries to the Danish public. The
Center is an independent institution with core funding from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
Global Copenhagen
Global Copenhagen is a club venue dedicated to world music only. It presents world music with a selection of some of the best international and national bands. The musical profile focuses on the many exciting mergers, that the world music constantly produces – starting from traditionel styles with everyday new supporters.
The aim of Global Copenhagen is to offer the audience a special concert experience that challenges musical borders.
 
Roskilde Festival
Roskilde Festival is the largest music festival in Northern Europe and took place for the first time in 1971. The festival is run by 30 full-time employees and thousands of volunteers.

Each year, The Roskilde Festival Charity Society, the non-profit organization behind the festival, ensures that all profits earned on the festival are donated directly to humanitarian and cultural purposes. Over the last 36 years more than 13,3 million EUR has been distributed worldwide. Roskilde Festival provides an annual 4-days’ festival of music and culture, open for participants to enjoy all aspects of music, community spirit, service, quality and safety. In 2006 the festival was attended by 110,000 people – guests (four days tickets only), volunteers, media people and artists.

This international fair brings together professionals from the worlds of folk, roots, ethnic and traditional music and also includes concerts, conferences and documentary films. It contributes to networking as an effective means of promoting music and culture of all kinds across frontiers."

UNESCO Global Alliance for Cultural Diversity The 08 edition in Sevilla, Spain, saw over 2,800 delegates from more than 90 countries, 650 exhibitors, a full conference and a showcase festival presenting 49 acts.

Wonderful Copenhagen
Wonderful Copenhagen CVB (WoCo) is the official convention and visitors bureau of Copenhagen, dealing with all aspects of Copenhagen as a leisure and business destination.

The aim of the bureau is to make Copenhagen widely known as a dynamic, vibrant city and thereby strengthen and extend the city’s international networks and identity. WoCo is a non-profit organization funded approx. 50 percent by public partners (the state and the regional authorities), while private companies within the tourist sector in Copenhagen fund the remaining half. WoCo has a long tradition and experience in developing and attracting large-scale events in the areas of conferences, sports and cultural activities to Copenhagen.
 
World Music Denmark
World Music Denmark is a non-profit organization, founded in 1992 by a group of musicians, journalists, dancers and concert organisers.

The organization is dedicated to the development and promotion of Danish world music and to improving the conditions for world music and related dance forms.
